John Plant - Team Rector

Reverend Amanda Pike
Yorkshire born and bred, just outside Scarborough on a Farm. The youngest of 4 children. I am married to Simon and we have three very outgoing daughters; Zoe, Phoebe and Lorna - all teenagers!

I trained at Cranmer Hall, Durham and was ordained in York Minster in 2001. Since then I have served curacy's in West and East Yorkshire, and been Priest in Charge of 3 very rural parishes in Teesdale, County Durham; where I became known as the pink vicar. I have also been a school Chaplain, part time prison and Hospice Chaplain.

I have a passion for Youth and Children's work and have been known to organize large outreach events called 'Extreme'. My philosophy in life is that everyone is valuable, and that we should never take ourselves too seriously, while making sure that we don't water down the Christian message. We need to make the Christian faith as relevant as we can in every walk of life, from 0 to 100+yrs. I am looking forward to beginning my ministry in the parishes.

Adrian Holdstock - Associate Priest

Adrian Holdstock - Associate Priest to the Benefice
Hello. I am Associate Priest licensed to the Bosworth Benefice where I have been serving since my ordination in 2003 in a voluntary capacity. Therefore, although I am a full member of the Benefice clergy team, I am also known as a 'Minister in Secular Employment' (MSE) and I earn my living as a life coach and business coach (www.galileecoaching.co.uk).

What is really important to me is that people find and use their true capabilities in the context of the whole of their lives. I enjoy coaching and mentoring to help people do this. I have worked at senior level and with company directors in the armed forces and industry and in lead roles with two not-for-profit organisations.

My personal mission statement is to become fully what I am capable of becoming, loving and being loved by God, family, close friends and myself, and making a difference to people’s lives, both in groups and individually, creating with and through them order, harmony and fulfilment.

I live with my wife Gill in Burbage and we have three grown up daughters Amy, Ruth and Lucy who have all left home to pursue their careers.

Patricia Lockwood

Patricia Lockwood
I am married with 2 grown up children and 2 grandchildren. Originally from North Lincolnshire I have lived in various parts of the country, moving with my husband’s job. We have lived in Carlton for 15 years and I work full time as the Deputy Head of Dorothy Goodman School in Hinckley.

I have always been involved in the life of the church, mainly through the Sunday School. After moving to Carlton I decided, that as clergy numbers fell, I needed to reconsider my role and was accepted for training as a Lay Reader. I have worked as a Reader in Carlton for the last 4 years and I occasionally help out with Family Worship at Shackerstone.

I am a member of Carlton PCC and I serve on the Deanery Synod and the Standing Committee. I am also a member of the Bereavement Group. My pastoral work in Carlton centres around community and fund raising events. I hold a Coffee Morning every year in Church. I organise a village carol sing at Christmas, which raises money for charity and the church and I’m involved with the Church Fete and various other events that we have in the village.

Diana Morgan
My name is Diana Morgan, I am the editor of the Insight benefice magazine and a Reader-in-training.  Readers are voluntary Lay ministers who are licensed to preach and to lead non-Communion services.  I am married to Steve, we have with a son and a daughter and live in Cadeby.

Steve and I are healthcare professionals in the NHS and we are both keen on cycling. I am based at St Peter’s Market Bosworth where I sing in the choir, but I enjoy leading services and being involved with churches throughout the benefice. Coming from a Quaker background, I also value the quiet meditative aspects of worship and like leading and arranging the liturgy for more reflective services.

I hope to help people engage with their faith so as to enhance their lives and to encourage people to live out their faith by challenging injustice and caring for one another.
