Adrian Holdstock - Associate Priest to the Benefice http://www.galileecoaching.co.uk/ What is really important to me is that people find and use their true capabilities in the context of the whole of their lives. I enjoy coaching and mentoring to help people do this. I have worked at senior level and with company directors in the armed forces and industry and in lead roles with two not-for-profit organisations. My personal mission statement is to become fully what I am capable of becoming, loving and being loved by God, family, close friends and myself, and making a difference to people’s lives, both in groups and individually, creating with and through them order, harmony and fulfilment. I live with my wife Gill in Burbage and we have three grown up daughters Amy, Ruth and Lucy who have all left home to pursue their careers. |
| Reverend Alison Thorp - Curate | |
Reverend Andy Cain - Curate I was brought up in South London and have subsequently lived in Nottingham, Essex, Hertfordshire, and Leicestershire. I am married to Liz and together we have three boys aged 7 through to 11. I have been a Curate for four years in the Diocese of Leicester, the past two years of which I have spent in the Market Bosworth Benefice. There are many benefits to being a Priest in this Benefice, such as the team dynamic, the number of churches, the regular opportunities to minister to individuals and communities, and the opportunity to learn and develop in a wide setting with so many Weddings and Baptisms. I made a commitment to follow Jesus Christ in my early teenage years. From a young age I experienced a call and desire to work in full-time Christian ministry both in the UK and overseas. For over fifteen years I have been passionate culturally relevant mission, preaching and seeing people grow in aspiration, confidence and faith. I believe in drawing together the needs of individuals and the community with a deeply held belief that God is unconditionally smitten with each and every individual, a love he demonstrated through the birth, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. Before my ordination in the Church of England I studied Theology and Missiology for 5 years, the first two years at All Nations Christian College in Hertfordshire and the latter three at St. John’s College, Nottingham. Prior to this study I worked for seven years in the IT Industry during which time I had experience in the public, private and charity sectors. My hobbies include walking, running, spending time with my family, cooking, international cultures, fashion, and reading. |

Patricia Lockwood I have always been involved in the life of the church, mainly through the Sunday School. After moving to Carlton I decided, that as clergy numbers fell, I needed to reconsider my role and was accepted for training as a Lay Reader. I have worked as a Reader in Carlton for the last 4 years and I occasionally help out with Family Worship at Shackerstone. I am a member of Carlton PCC and I serve on the Deanery Synod and the Standing Committee. I am also a member of the Bereavement Group. My pastoral work in Carlton centres around community and fund raising events. I hold a Coffee Morning every year in Church. I organise a village carol sing at Christmas, which raises money for charity and the church and I’m involved with the Church Fete and various other events that we have in the village. |
Diana Morgan Steve and I are healthcare professionals in the NHS and we are both keen on cycling. I am based at St Peter’s Market Bosworth where I sing in the choir, but I enjoy leading services and being involved with churches throughout the benefice. Coming from a Quaker background, I also value the quiet meditative aspects of worship and like leading and arranging the liturgy for more reflective services. I hope to help people engage with their faith so as to enhance their lives and to encourage people to live out their faith by challenging injustice and caring for one another. |
